"We knew their D-line was their strength, and they played -- they did a good job against Auburn defensively. They couldn't generate much offense, but their defense was very impressive. So we knew that it was going to be tough. So we tried to spread them out a little bit formationally and run the ball from that look. We kind of -- have been a little different schematically, so we tried to make an adjustment there and it was very effective.

"But he's got great feet. He's quick, he's got burst and vision. He's got some good speed too. So we'll make sure we protect the ball better and have great ball security. That's the only thing I would say he needs to focus on after today's performance, but he's a good player.

"We kind of commented on him throughout fall camp and he proved me right today, so I think he's pretty good." - IU head coach Tom Allen on running back Morgan Ellison's day.

"I used to play rugby so I'm used to not wearing pads. (Chase) Dutra and those guys got upset in camp a little bit, said 'you can't be running like that' and 'you're going to hurt yourself'. I came out in fall camp and I thought I just had to prove something after breaking my legs twice in high school. Felt like I had to prove something, honestly." - Running back Morgan Ellison on his running style, including when not wearing pads.

"I think, first off, he is a hard worker. He wants to be great, which is awesome. He's so physical at a young age. A lot of guys aren't wired like that especially coming straight out of high school. For him to be the way that he is, is unique." - Quarterback Richard Lagow on running back Morgan Ellison.

"It's definitely a confidence builder you know we got a couple last game that got called back that shouldn't have but you know to get on this game and to actually score on defensive this year is definitely a confidence builder." - Linebacker Chris Covington on IU's takeaways.

"I saw that it had a little velocity behind it so as it counted to roll that perfect bounce came and thankfully I got my hands on it right before the guy tried to tackle me so it just happened to work out for the great and I'm just happy that it all worked out." - J-Shun Harris III on his punt return touchdown.
