LOCAL GOLF: Coulson, Logan lead county Senior Tournament
Aug. 18—BARNESVILLE — Joe Coulson and Ed Logan each shot 3-under-par 66 Friday to lead their respective divisions after the opening round of the 19th annual Schuylkill County Amateur Golf Senior Division Championships at White Birch Golf Course.
Coulson leads the Championship Flight of the 15-golfer Senior Division (ages 55-63) by three strokes over William Kaczmarczyk and Joe Orsulak, who each carded even-par 69s. Mike Muncy is five strokes back after shooting a 71, with defending champion Tim Wood and Frank McGinty posting 74s.
Logan, a three-time county senior champion, dominated the 16-golfer Super Senior field with his 66, leading the Championship Flight by seven strokes over Dave Kurzinsky. Larry Hart was third at 75, while 2020 champion Dennis Campbell and Ray Miske Jr. carded 76s.
Action continues Sunday in the two-day, 36-hole tournament with tee times running from 8 a.m. through 9:10 a.m.
