The first full weekend of brings a full slate of games in Central Texas that will involve district contests for all teams.

East View stymies Glenn

The Patriots intercepted Glenn's last minute pass to give East View a homecoming win over Glenn 42-38 in district 11 5A action.

Rouse has knocked off the 10th ranked team in the state, Belton 32-20.

Edwards gives Pats the lead

On a third-and-one, East View's Kareem Edwards has given the Pats a 42-38 lead over Glenn with 1:39 left in the contest.

Glenn takes over from its over from its own 25.

Morgan to Reyes pushes Rouse lead to 12

London Morgan hits Anthony Reyes on a 4-yard pass for six to make the Rouse lead 32-20 over Belton with 1:32 left in the third.

College Station leads Cedar Park 56-14 in the final quarter.

DJ Dugar's fifth TD, this one with 5:35 remaining, has allowed Glenn to regain the lead over East View 38-35.

Dugar has a quartet of TD runs

DJ Dugar has scored for the fourth time of the evening as Glenn now leads East View 31-28 with 9:50 remaning in the fourth quarter.

The lead is short-lived however as Ty Blair connects with TJ Duncan for the second time on a long TD pass. Duncan got behind the Grizzlies' defense on a 80-yard bomb. EV leads 35-31.

SA Davenport leads at half

SA Davenport is edging Taylor 21-20 at intermission.

Lago Vista and Geronimo Navarro are deadlocked at 13 at the halftime buzzer.

Weiss has extended its lead to 28-7 over Copperas Cover at half.

College Station has stretched its lead to 49-14 over Cedar Park.

Belton scores again

Resse Rumfiled hit Rayshaun Peoples for a 30-yard score to cut the the Rouse lead to 6. The Raiders lead 26-20 in the third.

Dripping Springs leads Akins 42-0 at half, while Crockett leads Navarro 28-3 at half.

Glenn's DJ Dugar's 3rd TD, this one from 60-yards out, has cut the East View lead to 24-21 in the third quarter.

LBJ cruising at half

LBJ is not having any trouble as the Jags leads LASA 49-7 at half.

Belton has cut the Rouse lead to 26-13 on the opening play of the third.

The Tigers' Efeosa Edomwandagbon returned the kick for a score, but Rouse scored as Connor Thompson returned the blocked extra point for a duece.

Vipers score on last play of half

Deuce Adams connected with Jordan Oliver on a 50-yard pass to extend the Vandegrift lead to 28-3 over McNeil.

East View took advantage of a Glenn fumble as the Patriots scored on a pass from Ty Blair to Kieston Rainey. East View leads Glen 28-17 halfway through the third.

Vikings retake lead

Lago Vista has regained the advantage as the Vikings lead Geronimo Navarro 13-7 in the second quarter.

Round Rock leads Manor 21-7 at the half.

Blanco is shutting out Marion 20- at half.

Weiss now leads

For the second week in a row, Weiss is facing a tougher than expected opponent. Weiss has just regained the leads and now lead Copperas Cove 14-7 in the second quarter.

At half College Station is handling Cedar Park 35-7.

Canyon Lake is two touchdowns better than Marble Falls 21-7 in the second stanza.

East View leads Glenn 21-17 at the half

In a first half that took less than an hour, the Patriots are leading the Grizzlies 21-17.

Rouse's Justin Tatum booted a 37-yard field goal to extend the Raider over Belton lead to 24-7 with 2:23 remaining in the half.

Dripping Springs has added to its lead and the Tigers now lead Akins 21-0 in the first.

SA Davenport leads Taylor 14-6 in the opening quarter.

Wimberley has moved out to a 28-7 lead over Jarrell.

Ingram Moore leads Luling 16-7 in the second, while Granger is up on Iola 14-7 at half.

Dugar from 15 yards cuts East View lead

Glenn has narrowed the margin to 21-17 as DJ Dugar scored his second TD of the second quarter. East View will try to score in the last 1:38 of the opening half.

Dripping Springs leads Akins

The Tigers lead the Eagles 7-0 in the first quarter.

At the end of one, Rouse leads Belton 21-7 behind Justin Cannon's two touchdown runs.

College Station leads Cedar Park 28-7 in the second quarter.

Johnson City doubling up Harper

The Eagles lead Harper 14-7 in the second quarter.

On its third possession East View has scored again. This time on a 14-yard pass from Blair to Kiesten Rainey. The Patriots lead Glenn 21-10.

Dugar hits paydirt

Glenn's DJ Dugar scores on a 14-yard run to cut the East View lead to 14-10 with 8:50 left in the opening half.

At The Pfield, A&M Consolidated leads Hendrickson 7-0 in the first.

Regents rolling to another win

Regents has built a 3 TD lead, 43-22 over Brownsville St. Joseph in the fourth quarter.

Bastrop leads cross-town rivalry

Bastrop has taken an early 7-0 lead over Cedar Creek in its cross-town rivalry game.

New Braunfels Canyon leads Hays 6-0 in the first.

SA Veterans Memorial has scored first and leads Liberty Hill 7-0 in the opening stanza.

They have reached the end of the opening quarter and East View leads Glenn 14-3.

Vipers out to early lead

Vandegrift is looking to stay unbeaten and the Vipers lead McNeil 7-0 in a 25-6A tilt.

In 11-5A DI, College Station has opened up a 14-0 lead over Cedar Park.

On its second possession East View scores again as Ty Blair calls his own number on a 3rd and one to score from the 4. Patriots lead Glenn 14-3 with 1:25 left in the opening stanza.

Rouse jumps out in front

After a pair of big completions by London Morgan, the Raiders capitalized as Justin Cannon scored on a 10-yard run.

Raiders lead Belton 7-0 with 10:04 remaining in the opening quarter.

In Georgetown, Armando Don Juan's field goal has narrowed the East View lead to 7-3 over Glenn.

East View strikes early

On the first snap of the game, the Patriots' Ty Blair found TJ Duncan behind the Glenn defense for a 75-yard TD connection.

Glenn is starting its opening possession.

Statesman at the games

Arabdho Majumder is at Bible Stadium covering the Rouse-Belton tilt, while Albert Alvarado is covering the Bastrop-Cedar Creek tussle while Colby Gordon will be reporting on the Round Rock-Manor game.

Wimberley lone non-6A remaining without a blemish

4A-DII Wimberley looks to remain perfect as the Texans travel to take on Jarrell in the 13-4A DII opener for both squads.

Wimberley (5-0) last saw action 2 weeks ago as the Texans knocked off previously unbeaten Lampasas 41-20.

Jarrell is 1-4 after its 62-35 loss to Taylor in its last outing.

In other district openers, 3-2 Lago Vista travels to face Geronimo Navarro, who is also 3-2.

Finally Manor New Tech (1-4) is looking to break a four-game losing streak vs. 2-3 Achieve.

Lehman falls to Smithson Valley

In a 12-5A DI tilt Thursday, Smithson Valley dominated Lehman 42-7 dropping the Lobos to 0-3 in district action.

Hays looks to improve its 1-1 district mark as the Hawks travel to New Braunfels to match up with Canyon.

Bastrop surprises in 13-5A DII

After last week’s 41-22 dismantling of previously unbeaten Kerrville Tivy, Bastrop is looking to build on the momentum as the Bears square off with cross-town foe Cedar Creek. Bastrop is 4-2, 1-1 while the Eagles are winless in six starts, two in district tussles.

Pflugerville wins District 11-5A DII thriller

Pflugerville earned its first win of the season as the Panthers scored late to post a 30-26 come-from-behind win over Waco University last night.

Tonight’s marquee attraction in district play features 4-1 Rouse hosting 6-0 Belton at Bible Stadium.

Elgin, 1-1 in district play, will play host to Killeen Chaparral (1-1 in the district).

District 12-5A DII has a pair of unbeatens

Travis moved .5 game ahead in the district race ahead of LBJ as the Rebels shutout Eastside 56-0 last night.

In a game featuring teams with 1-1 district marks, Crockett and Navarro square off at Burger Stadium.

2-0 LBJ looks to keep pace with Travis as the Jags host 1-1 LASA.

1-1 McCallum takes on 0-2 Northeast at House Park

Vista Ridge dumps Westwood in a key 26-6A tussle

For the fifth year in a row, the Rangers prevailed over the Warriors as Vista Ridge outslugged Westwood 26-21 in a critical 26-6A game at the Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex last night.

Vandegrift and Round Rock both sit at 2-0 in the district. Vandegrift faces McNeil (1-1), while Round Rock clashes with 1-1 Manor.

Cedar Ridge and Stony Point, both 0-2 in district competition, will battle for their first district win.

26-6A race shaping up

After 4 weeks of 26-6A play, Westlake, Dripping Springs and Lake Travis appear to be headed to the state playoffs.

After Westlake’s win 67-14 over Anderson last night, the Chaps sit at 4-0 in district play, while Dripping Springs is 3-0 and Lake Travis is 2-1.

In Westlake’s triumph, running back Jack Kayser became the third Westlake runner to hit the 3000 yard plateau following Nakia Watson and Ryan Nunez.

Johnson moved to 3-2 in district action as the Jaguars nipped Austin High 20-19 last night.

Dripping Springs, 4-1 overall, hosts winless Akins (0-6, 0-4), while Lake Travis is also 4-1 overall. The Cavs visit 1-5 Del Valle.

Bowie is 2-2 in district play. The Dawgs are idle this week.

Anderson sits at 2-3 after last night’s defeat.

Georgetown remains unbeaten in 11-5A D1

After last night’s  52-21 win over Leander at Bible Stadium, the Eagles sit atop the 11-5A division 1 standings with a 3-0 district mark, a half game up over College Station.

Despite trailing 6-3 after the first quarter, Georgetown outscored the hosts 28-8 in the second stanza to build a comfortable 31-14 heading to intermission.

In another big game in the district, Cedar Park hosts last year’s 5A D1 runner-up College Station. The T-Wolves are looking to bounce back after last week’s 24-16 loss to A&M Consolidated.

Glenn is looking to stay in the upper half of the district standings as the Grizzlies face East View on the road.

In a contest that matches teams with a 1-1 district record, Hendrickson hosts A&M Consolidated at The Field.
