LIVE UPDATES! Indiana Sectional Football Championship night
We've reached championship night as South Bend area high school football teams will be competing for sectional titles in Indiana and district titles in Michigan.
There are eight sectional championships in Indiana tonight and one in Michigan, with another final to the north scheduled for Saturday.
Athlete of Week: NorthWood's Owen Roeder wins South Bend Tribune Football Player of the Week vote
The Tribune will have live coverage from four games.
Writer Anthony Anderson and photographer Greg Swiercz will be covering the action from Freed Field as Penn (9-1) host Warsaw (9-1) in the Class 6A Sectional 2 showdown. Austin Hough will be in Middlebury at Interra Field to cover all the action as Northridge (9-2) hosts NorthWood (9-2) in the Class 4A Sectional 18 finale. Writer John Fineran and camerman Michael Caterina will be in Lakeville as the Lancers (10-1) host Bremen (6-5) in the Class 2A Sectional 33 final. Writer Scott Davidson will be at Lawrence J. Jackowiak Field in Dunlap as the Minutemen (6-4) host Mishawaka (8-2) in the Class 5A Sectional 11 championship.
