LIVE UPDATES: IHSAA sectional, MHSAA district high school football action in South Bend area

It's all postseason high school football action tonight, as we have 11 IHSAA sectional semifinal games and three MHSAA district semifinal contests on tap from the South Bend Tribune coverage area.

For a second-straight week, Tribune sportswriter Austin Hough is stationed at home, watching multiple games at once while running this live blog. We will reporters covering four games tonight as well, all in Indiana: Scott Davidson at Concord vs. South Bend Adams, John Fineran at Fairfield vs. John Glenn, Anthony Anderson at Penn vs. Elkhart and Steve Krah at Mishawaka vs. Goshen.

INDIANA SECTIONAL SEMIFINAL GAMES

Class 6A, Sectional 2 semifinal FINAL: Penn 35, Elkhart 0

Class 5A, Sectional 10 semifinal FINAL: Michigan City 6, LaPorte 5

Michigan City took a safety with 14 seconds left. LaPorte was unable to score with its final possession, losing in a rain-soaked game.

9:50 p.m.: Jack Doty with a 32-yard field goal makes it Michigan City 6, LaPorte 3 with 9:10 left Q3.

8:34 p.m.: An Olijah Collins 61-yard touchdown catch from Tyler Bush put the Wolves up, 6-0, with 2:10 left Q1.

8:22 p.m.: Michigan City had a turnover, but LaPorte couldn't capitalize and had to punt. Scoreless with 3:00 left Q1.

Class 5A, Sectional 11 semifinal FINAL: Concord 49, South Bend Adams 10

Class 5A, Sectional 11 semifinal FINAL: Mishawaka 48, Goshen 14

Class 4A, Sectional 17 semifinal FINAL: New Prairie 28, Kankakee Valley 21, OT

10:20 p.m.: Kankakee Valley muffs a snap on a fourth down to end the game. New Prairie hangs on in overtime.

10:17 p.m.: Marshall Kmiecik with a 10-yard touchdown run on the first play in overtime. Cougars 28, KV 21. Kankakee getting the ball now.

9:52: Kankakee Valley scores to make it, 21-14, with 4:00 left in the contest.

9:44 p.m.: Marshall Kmiecik with a touchdown run to put New Prairie ahead, 21-7, with 5:48 left in the game.

9:30 p.m.: Kankakee Valley scored on the first play of the fourth quarter to make it a one-score game.

8:47 p.m.: Back-to-back 34-yard runs by Marshall Kmiecik and Reed Robinson, the latter of which went for a touchdown, put the Cougars up, 14-0, late in the second quarter.

8:14 p.m.: Lineman Jonathan Klosinski scored on a two-yard touchdown run from the goal line. Cougars 7-0, 7:25 left Q1.

Class 4A, Sectional 18 semifinal FINAL: NorthWood 56, South Bend Washington 14

7:44 p.m.: Owen Roeder 31-yard touchdown run. NorthWood 35, South Bend Washington 0, 49.7 seconds left Q1.

7:40 p.m.: NorthWood continues to roll. An 18-yard touchdown pass from Owen Roeder to NiTareon Tuggle makes it 28-0, 1:03 left Q1.

7:33 p.m.: A Landon Perry 11-yard touchdown run makes it 21-0 NorthWood with 2:59 still left in the first quarter.

7:19 p.m.: A 35-yard touchdown pass from Owen Roeder to NiTareon Tuggle doubled NorthWood's lead. 14-0 NorthWood, 6:00 left Q1.

7:10 p.m.: After NorthWood blocked a punt, Owen Roeder threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to JoJo Edmond. 7-0 NorthWood early over Washington.

Class 4A, Sectional 18 semifinal FINAL: Northridge 49, Wawasee 20

8:08 p.m.: A Derek Sherwood touchdown reception punctuated a 49-0 first half advantage for the Raiders.

7:35 p.m.: A 22-yard touchdown run from Derek Sherwood. Northridge 28, Wawasee 0, 1:00 left Q1.

7:16 p.m.: A second rushing touchdown by McClain Miller, plus a two-point conversion run, makes it 14-0 Northridge just five minutes into the game.

7:10 p.m.: McClain Miller scored for the Raiders to give them the early lead.

Class 3A, Sectional 26 semifinal FINAL: John Glenn 25, Fairfield 8

Class 2A, Sectional 33 semifinal FINAL: LaVille 50, Whiting 0

Running clock incoming for the second half as LaVille goes up, 44-0, at halftime.

Class 2A, Sectional 33 semifinal FINAL: Bremen 21, Wheeler 18

9:45 p.m.: The Lions intercept a Wheeler pass with 1:04 left in the contest.

9:39 p.m.: Bremen makes a field goal after starting on a short field. Lions 21, Wheeler 18 with 3:27 left.

9:35 p.m.: Bremen gets the ball right back with an interception.

9:32 p.m.: Bremen turns the ball over at the Wheeler 10-yard line with 5:22 to go.

9:28 p.m.: Wheeler makes a 42-yars field goal to tie the game at 18 with 6:56 left in the game.

9:08 p.m.: A short Austin Young touchdown run, plus a two-point conversion, makes it 18-15 Bremen with 2:13 left Q3.

8:23 p.m.: Wheeler regains the lead on a short touchdown pass, but fail the two-point conversion. Bearcats 15, Bremen 10 with 2:08 left Q2.

8:08 p.m.: A 78-yard touchdown -and-run by Tyrus Graverson gives Bremen its first lead of the night, 10-9, with 6:51 left Q2.

8:05 p.m.: Bearcats kick a field goal to take a 9-3 lead on Bremen with 7:25 left Q2.

Apologies for the earlier error, we read the scoreboard wrong. Bremen kicks a field goal with 3:06 left in Q1 to make it Wheeler 6, Bremen 3. We mistakenly wrote Bremen 6, Wheeler 0 earlier.

Class 1A, Sectional 41 semifinal FINAL: Triton 56, Culver Community 0

Triton had no issues with the Cavaliers. They will host North Judson-San Pierre in the Sectional 41 title game next Friday.

7:56 p.m.: Apologies for the lack of delays on this game, but Triton is cruising after a touchdown run from John Overmeyer. Triton 35, Culver 0 with 4:37 left in the first half.

MICHIGAN DISTRICT SEMIFINAL GAMES

Division 4, Region 2, District 1 semifinal FINAL: Niles 42, Vicksburg 10

8:36 p.m.: Julian Means-Flewellen with a 68-yard touchdown run. It's 42-3 Niles midway through Q3.

8:31 p.m.: Niles deviated from its rushing attack, with Talon Brawley throwing an 85-yard touchdown pass to Sam Rucker to open up a comfortable 35-3 lead early in the third quarter.

8:10 p.m.: Sam Rucker returned a punt for a touchdown to put the Vikings ahead, 28-3, with 17 seconds left before halftime.

7:51 p.m.: A two-yard rushing touchdown from Paul Hess makes it 21-3 Vikings, 4:55 left before halftime.

7:42 p.m.: Vicksburg kicks a field goal to cut the deficit to 11 midway through Q2.

7:30 p.m.: Paul Hess with a 12-yard touchdown run as time expired in the first quarter to double the Vikings' lead to 14-0.

7:10 p.m.: A Sam Rucker four-yard touchdown run puts Niles up, 7-0, midway through the first quarter.

Division 4, Region 2, District 1 semifinal FINAL: Paw Paw 16, Edwardsburg 7

The Eddies season comes to an end with a 5-5 record.

8:20 p.m.: The Wolves take the opening drive downfield for a touchdown to make it 16-7 with 7:16 to go Q3.

7:46 p.m.: A safety for Paw Paw with 11 seconds left in the second half gave them a 9-7 lead.

7:41 p.m.: A long touchdown pass for Paw Paw ties the game at seven with 1:20 left Q2.

7:35 p.m.: Edwardsburg defense made a big stop with Paw Paw threatening to score. 7-0 Eddies still, 3:00 left Q2.

7:25 p.m.: Edwardsburg scored on a short touchdown pass from Zeke Pegura to Grant Griffin to take a 7-0 lead with 9:43 left in Q2.

7:20 p.m.: Fast first quarter saw no points scored.

Division 6, Region 3, District 1 semifinal FINAL: Buchanan 29, Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic 21

The Bucks added a late touchdown, then sealed the game with another interception to advance to the championship game for Division 6, Region 3, District 1.

9:02 p.m.: Buchanan with a pick-six! The Bucks take the lead, 22-21, with 2:49 left Q3.

8:57 p.m.: This game has been hard to track with no social media updates and a spotty broadcast. The Bucks made it a one possession game though with a short touchdown run. Kalamazoo 21, Buchanan 15 with 4:20 left Q3.
