Lisbon caps West roll; H-D secures second place

Oct. 18—Lisbon wrapped up a perfect 10-0 NAC West Division Girls Soccer Championship with a 7-0 win over Edwards-Knox and Hermon-DeKalb clinched a second place finish at 6-4 with a 2-1 win over Heuvelton in Tuesday's. Hammond also won its final division game downing Harrisville 3-1

Chateaugay stayed unbeaten in the NAC East at 13-0 in a 3-0 victory over Brushton-Moira.

Lisbon 6 — E-K 1: Regan Pirie tallied a natural hat trick plus one scoring the first four goals of the game. Alison Bell assisted on two of the goals and Leah Warren set up the fourth as the state-ranked Knights (no. 4 Class D) finished the regular season at 15-1.

After Addy Foster scored what proved to be the lone E-K goal, Gabby Richardson connected from Warren and Ava Murray converted off a set up from Adia Richards. Averee Bouchey stopped five shots for the shutout.

H-D 2 — Heuvelton 1: Aliyah O'Donnell scored unassisted and Olivia Simser converted the winning goal from Hannah Colleer in the second half to lift the Green Demons past the Bulldogs who took a 1-0 halftime lead on a Chasity Johnson goal from Sage Blevins.

Jayla O'Donnell backstopped the win with eight saves and Heuvelton keeper Carley Simmons finished with 14 saves.

Chateaugay 3 — B-M 0: Ali Johnson assisted on goals by Irelyn LaPlante and Maddy MaComb and LaPlante set up a tally by Patten Parmeter as the Bulldogs posted a Senior Day victory to stay undefeated atop the NAC East Division.

Kaitlyn Morgan stopped seven shots in the shutout.

"Today was a great way to celebrate our four seniors. Ali Johnson, Kaitlyn Morgan, Angela Dwyer, and Ryleigh Reardon have been a staple of this program for four years. They have lead by example and I can't express how much they have done for us. They have accomplished a lot in their time with us and know they want more," said Chateaugay Coach Jason LaPlante.

"We played very well today and once again passed the ball very well and we were able to control the tempo against a good and well coached team."
