Daxtyn Poisson will play an important role at the top with his long drives and steady short game. Fenlason added Jazmine Pingree will be a member of the Spruce top six, and the Phoenix's depth will be a challenge for opponents this season.

The top three will be strong, anchored by Kendall, who won the WMC Class C title last year. Newcomer Riley Daigle has turned in some great scores so far. Whitney said the depth should develop in the next month. Adding Chris Carrier, the PGA Director of Instruction at Martindale Country Club, to the coaching staff will be a boost to kids improving daily through the season.

A couple of Winthrop's new players are beginning to play golf, and they will work with Steeves every day to get better and more confident to play matches.
