LeBron James says Bronny James has begun rehab to return to playing basketball

The road to recovery for Bronny James appears to include a return to playing basketball.

When Bronny suffered an episode of cardiac arrest in July, no one knew what the future would hold for the USC basketball player whose career was halted. Now, it seems that Bronny is healthy enough to resume working out. Doctors and medical experts are obviously comfortable with the idea of allowing Bronny to resume playing hoops.

Los Angeles Times reporter Dan Woike, who covers the Lakers and the NBA at large, tweeted out a LeBron James update on Bronny James’ condition and overall progress. LeBron said, as reported by Woike, that Bronny James is doing extremely well and is rehabbing to get back on the basketball court this season. Bronny James hopes to join USC basketball and help the Trojans in this hugely hyped season for the Men of Troy.

USC is widely viewed as a preseason top-20 team with Isaiah Collier and Boogie Ellis in the backcourt plus veteran Kobe Johnson and high-profile transfer D.J. Rodman in the main rotation. If Bronny can join the roster early enough in the season, the Trojans could put a complete team on the floor with elite backcourt play and depth. We will let you know when a timetable for Bronny James’ return to USC basketball is announced or revealed.
