Who’s leaving and who’s incoming for Utah football? Tracking spring portal decisions

Utah has wrapped up spring camp and turned its attention to the spring transfer portal.

The spring transfer window — the last time for players to enter their name into the transfer portal before the 2024 season begins — is open from April 16 to April 30.

Here’s a look at who’s leaving Utah and who the Utes have picked up from the spring transfer portal, which will be updated regularly.

Transferring to Utah

Paul Fitzgerald, DE, sophomore, Utah State.

2023 stats: 46 tackles, eight sacks, nine tackles for loss, forced fumble, pass breakup.

Damien Alford, WR, senior, Syracuse.

2023 stats: 33 receptions for 610 yards and three touchdowns.

Transferring from Utah

Chase Kennedy, DE, sophomore.

2023 stats: Three games, 60 snaps on defense, one tackle.

Macloud Crowton, QB, junior.

2023 stats (at Moorpark College): 3,008 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, nine interceptions, 55.6% completion percentage.

Briton Allen, S, senior (first reported by Farrell Portal).

2023 stats: Six games on special teams and defense, five tackles.

Kolinu’u Faaiu, C, junior (first reported by Pete Thamel of ESPN).

2023 stats: 10 games at center (starting last eight of the season), 63.4 Pro Football Focus grade.

Sidney Mbanasor, WR, sophomore.

2023 stats: No stats recorded, played in two games on special teams.

Shay O’Kelly, LB, redshirt freshman.

2023 stats: 3-star recruit did not see game action in his true freshman season for the Utes.
