LaMarcus Aldridge is interested in a return to the NBA. Is he an option for the Nets?

The Nets experienced a drastic turn of events went down when LaMarcus Aldirdge was forced to retire because of an irregular heartbeat. The seven-time All-Star, of course, had no plans at all of retiring with the postseason right around the corner for him in April. He wanted to win a championship with the Nets and he made that very clear upon his arrival to the team.

Recently, Aldridge began hinting at a potential NBA comeback. However, he still has to be cleared by doctors before reaching such a decision. But if, and only if he returns, you can expect the future Hall of Famer to consider Brooklyn. There is unfinished business here for him and his departure last season has fans wondering how much he could have impacted that Nets-Bucks series.

Nets GM Sean Marks has already made it known that the team would be open to having him back. He was not referring to bringing him back on the roster, but as a member of the coaching staff. If the veteran is cleared to return, you can Marks to seriously consider this form of welcoming him back too.

Whatever the outcome may be, it’s good to see the 36-year-old filled with hope again. Having to be forced to take a backseat to the game he loves pushed him into depression. Not only have things improved mentally for him since, but now he can be rejuvenated if he can make a return to the court again.
