Lakers' Ball remains sidelined with knee injury

The Los Angeles Lakers don't have a return date yet for Lonzo Ball, but the rookie guard is expected to accompany the team on its longest road trip of the season, according to coach Luke Walton.

Ball, who missed his fourth straight game on Sunday with a sore left knee as the Lakers hosted the New York Knicks, is also expected to sit out Tuesday against the Boston Celtics. The Lakers depart after that game for a five-game, 11-day road trip beginning Friday in Chicago.

Ball, who is averaging 10.2 points, 7.1 assists and 7.1 rebounds, was injured in a victory against the Dallas Mavericks on Jan. 13.

He missed six games earlier this season due to a shoulder injury. Entering Sunday, the Lakers were 1-8 when Ball does not play.
