Lady Vols defeat Tennessee Tech, remain unbeaten

The Lady Vols won their seventh consecutive game and kept their perfect record intact Wednesday.

No. 11 Tennessee defeated Tennessee Tech, 76-48, at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The Golden Eagles (2-5) and Lady Vols were locked in a close game at halftime. Tennessee led the contest, 38-30, at the break.

The Lady Vols (7-0) used an 18-5 third-quarter run to assert control of the contest and went on to victory.

Alexus Dye led Tennessee with 20 points and recorded nine rebounds. Tess Darby added 10 points and Tamari Key posted a double-double as she scored 11 points and totaled 11 rebounds.

Anna Jones scored 12 points to lead the Golden Eagles, who trailed, 18-17 after the first quarter.
