Kiké Hernandez immediately puts on Halloween costume after Game 6 win

LOS ANGELES — Proving you’re never too old or too busy to celebrate Halloween, Los Angeles Dodgers utility man Kiké Hernandez was quick to show off his costume Tuesday night.

Yes, there was the little matter of the World Series and Game 6, which his team won 3-1 to force an all-or-nothing Game 7 on Wednesday. After that ninth inning, though, it was still Halloween in L.A. and Hernandez wasn’t going home in street clothes. He was going home as Chewbacca.

Just call him the Wookie of the Year.

“What do you mean ‘What is it?’ ” Hernandez joked when a reporter asked about his costume. “It’s Chewy, man. You haven’t even seen ‘Star Wars?’ ”

Hernandez even did his best Wookie growl.

Now L.A. fans will be hoping that Hernandez and the Dodgers can rip the Astros arms out of their sockets in Game 7.
