Kentucky will play home series against two of the perennial SEC East contenders in 2018, according to the matchups released by the league on Thursday.

The Wildcats will face Florida and South Carolina at Cliff Hagan Stadium in addition to Auburn, Missouri and Mississippi State.

Road games will include trips to Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

Kentucky will avoid SEC co-champion LSU during the regular season, but the Cats will face plenty of talent in the nation's strongest conference.

That league strength has been bolstered by another impressive year of recruiting. Nick Mingione's club has the No. 7 national class for 2017, according to Perfect Game, but Vandy, Florida and Arkansas are 1-3.

Auburn and South Carolina also have Top 10 classes.

Kentucky is coming off a 43-23 season in the first year under Mingione. The Cats went 19-11 in SEC play and were in contention for a share of the league title up until the final day of the regular season.
