Kendall Jenner throws support behind Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker for 2022 NBA All-Star Game

The Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker was fifth among NBA guards after the first set of NBA All-Star Fan voting returns were announced Thursday, noticeably behind the Golden State Warriors' Klay Thompson, who has not even played this season.

Can Kendall Jenner change that?

Jenner, who has been dating Booker since 2020, took to social media on Friday to try to steer some votes in her boyfriend's direction.

"y’all know i wanna see #DevinBooker play in the All-Star Game #NBAAllStar," she tweeted to her 31.8 million followers on Twitter.

Jenner's post interestingly counted as a vote for Booker.

The NBA counts Tweets or retweets that include "#NBAAllStar" and a hashtag of the first and last name of the player they want to see in the All-Star Game, in this case, #DevinBooker, as votes.

According to the NBA, voters can submit a maximum of 10 valid votes per Twitter handle per day, but each of the 10 votes per day must be for a different player. You can only include a vote for one player in each tweet.

The All-Star game voting is scheduled to run through midnight Eastern on Jan. 22.

Fan voting counts for 50% of the votes for the All-Star Game starters, while voting from current players will count for 25% and a media panel will count for 25%.

Booker, who is averaging 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game this season, had 338,526 votes after the first voting results were announced, trailing Thompson, who had 367,743 votes.

Thompson's teammate, Steph Curry, had 2,584,623 votes, followed by the Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic (787,690) and the Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant (669,033). Suns point guard Chris Paul (315,912) was sixth behind Booker.

Jenner picked a good time for her tweet. NBA All-Star votes will be counted twice until midnight Eastern time on Friday.

Her tweet had been retweeted 7,700 times (and counting) early Friday afternoon.

Jenner also sent out an Instagram story to her 211 million Instagram followers to vote for Booker (yes, 211 million followers).

Perhaps the next round of NBA All-Star fan voting returns will look very different ...
