After just 27 good holes, Tiger Woods' Masters odds are through the roof

Hey, nothing like a little overreaction, right?

Before he’d even finished two rounds of his comeback, Tiger Woods was installed as a 15-1 favorite to win the 2018 Masters. This, after starting the day Thursday at 50-1:

Only Jordan Spieth (7-1), Dustin Johnson (9-1), Justin Thomas (12-1), and Rory McIlroy (12-1) are offering better odds than Woods right now.

Granted, odds this far out are about as relevant as any preseason prediction, but it does give you a sense of how many people decided they wanted to take a flyer on Woods, and how many oddsmakers decided to reduce their exposure as a result. Woods may be in contention at Augusta, or his back might detonate long before then—he’s played the Masters exactly once since 2013—but if nothing else, he’s got hearts and wallets fluttering with his first two rounds back.
