JuJu Smith-Schuster reportedly joins Chiefs on one-year, $10.75 million deal
Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is reportedly heading to the Kansas City Chiefs. Smith-Schuster essentially announced the move on Twitter, saying "#ChiefsKingdom Let's Go!"
Smith-Schuster will join the Chiefs on a one-year, $10.75 million deal, according to Field Yates of ESPN.

Smith-Schuster is coming off a 2021 marred by a season-ending shoulder injury. Smith-Schuster played in five games, snagging 15 passes for 129 yards. Prior to last year, Smith-Schuster established himself as a tough, high-volume player with the Steelers. His finest season came in 2018, when he caught 111 passes for 1,426 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Smith-Schuster's skills should fit in nicely with the Chiefs. With Tyreek Hill stretching defenses, Smith-Schuster should have plenty of room to work underneath and make tough catches. If Smith-Schuster is still the same player following shoulder surgery, he should be the best No. 2 receiver the Chiefs have had since Patrick Mahomes took over as the team's starter.

Just before announcing he was joining the Chiefs, Smith-Schuster sent out a message thanking Steelers fans for supporting him the first five years of his career.

The Steelers selected Smith-Schuster with their second-round pick in the 2017 draft. Smith-Schuster made an immediate impact, nearly reaching 1,000 receiving yards during his rookie season.
