Josh Heupel provides update on Jabari Small, Cedric Tillman following second scrimmage
Tennessee kicked off spring practices March 22 under second-year head coach Josh Heupel.
The Vols scrimmaged for the second time during the spring Saturday at Haslam Field.
Heupel provided an update on running back Jabari Small and wide receiver Cedric Tillman not playing in the Saturday’s scrimmage.
“Precautionary with those guys,” Heupel said. “Feel like we’ve done a good job of kind of managing guys here through spring ball. They’ve showed really good glimpses of a lot of growth during our offseason. We want to continue to develop those guys.”
Tennessee did not hold its annual Orange & White game this spring due to Neyland Stadium renovations.
