Johnson now readies for U.S. Open after Gretzky delivers second son

Dustin Johnson is heading for Wisconsin on Tuesday to defend his U.S. Open title, and he’s doing it as a father for the second time.

Fiancée Paulina Gretzky gave birth on Monday to the couple’s second son in a planned C-section. The couple has yet to decide on a name for Tatum’s brother.

Johnson is scheduled to have a 4 p.m. Central news conference at host site Erin Hills is Wisconsin on Tuesday, presumably to bookend his first look at the golf course this week.

The world No. 1 was unable to compete in the Masters after falling down a short flight of steps in his Augusta-area rental home in Georgia on the Wednesday before the tournament. Johnson tried to warm up and prepare to play but bowed out as he stood on the tee for his starting time.

Johnson goes off at Erin Hills as the betting favorite, at approximately 15-to-2 odds.
