JJ Reddick on why Boston’s Derrick White is the most underrated role player in the NBA
JJ Redick has found himself in trouble with fans of the Boston Celtics in the past because of his assessments of some of their all-time greats. But the former NBA and current host of the “Old Man and the 3” podcast might find more than a few Celtics fans who would vibe with his current assessment of Boston guard Derrick White.
The notion that Redick sees White as the most underrated role player in the NBA certainly tracks with how important the Celtics see the Colorado native to their success. If anything, they might even suggest that role player does not quite do White justice, even if he is not quite a star player either.
