Jimmy and Dee Haslam donation to establish sports medicine center at University Hospitals

University Hospitals announced Jimmy and Dee Haslam, owners of the Cleveland Browns, Columbus Crew and Milwaukee Bucks, donated $20 million to establish a new sports medicine facility.

The University Hospitals Haslam Sports Innovation Center will be led by James E. Voos, M.S. Voos is chair of the hospital’s department of orthopedic surgery, was recently elected president of the NFL Physician’s Society and serves as head physician for the Browns.

The center’s goal: to “strategically identify, support and invest in the world’s best innovations in sports medicine, providing a catalyst to improve performance, reduce injury risk and promote healing for stronger, healthier professional and recreational athletes.”
