Jett White discusses Vols’ offer, upcoming visits, playing with Nico Iamaleava

Tennessee offered a scholarship to 2025 four-star cornerback Jett White on May 1.

The 6-foot-1 1/2, 165-pound cornerback is from Los Alamitos High School in Los Alamitos, California.

White discussed his recruitment with Vols Wire.

“Definitely in the top list of schools,” White said about Tennessee after being offered a scholarship. “They have always been a top-tier university with a rich tradition. Several great players have come from there.”

White has a relationship with Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava and his family: He played 7on7 with the Vols’ freshman signal-caller.

“When I got the offer, he said come to Rocky Top,” White said of Iamaleava.

White is the No. 115 overall prospect in the class of 2025, according to On3’s industry rankings. He earned first-team MaxPreps High School All-American honors in back-to-back seasons as a freshman and sophomore.

White discussed having confidence in his skills when he competes at the collegiate level.

“When you are a long, rangy cornerback with quick twitch and good cover and ball skills, you can play in any defense,” he said.

White also mentioned he plans to visit Tennessee during the 2023 season.

“I plan to visit in the fall for a game and back again in the spring before taking an official visit the next fall,” White said.

The 2025 prospect decommitted from USC on Jan. 3. He committed to the Trojans on Sept. 25, 2021.

“Right now, I’m just taking it one day at a time,” White said about his recruitment process. “I’m not in a rush or hurry to make a decision.”
