Jazz rookie Walker Kessler gives his respect to Sixers star Joel Embiid
Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid had two ginormous games against the Utah Jazz in the 2022-23 season.
In a home matchup in November, Embiid put up an historic stat line of 59 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and seven blocks in a win. He destroyed anything the Jazz threw at him.
In the road matchup in January, the big fella had 30 points and seven rebounds while drilling the game-winning, step-back jumper. Nothing the Jazz did threw him off.
Utah rookie Walker Kessler was left impressed with what he saw from Embiid as he told Sirius XM Radio:
I think he had 60, 14, like seven assists, and seven blocks, so you tell me. The first time he had a career night. The second time we played him out in Utah, I feel like I did pretty well against him, but he hit a driving, step back, one-foot game-winner on me and that one was frustrating.

Kessler has a bright future in the league. He has proven he can be a starter in this league. However, he isn’t a match for Embiid yet; the big fella is one of the best players in the game regardless of position.
