Jayson Tatum on how a friend helped save the Boston Celtics star from eviction

You might not think that Jayson Tatum’s background involved life on the edge of a precarious stability at times in his youth that even nearly saw the St. Louis native evicted from a house they lived in that was under threat fo foreclosure based on the stylish fashion he often wears postgame.

But the Duke alumnus knows hard times all too well, hard times that helped shape him into the man he is today. The Boston Celtics superstar opened up about that awful day and how it impacted he and his mother on hearing such terrible news on a recent episode of the “In Depth with Graham Bensinger” show.

Tatum explained what it took to get through the debacle, perhaps invoking the chorus of a particularly well-known Beatles song.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear his story.
