Jayden Daniels recognized by former high school after winning Heisman
On Saturday, Jayden Daniels returned to his roots in San Bernardino, California, to see his name immortalized by his alma mater Cajon High School.
Daniels was the best player in the country during the 2023 football season. He has the award to back up that claim as he won the Heisman Trophy after leading LSU to another 10-win season while throwing for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He also made big plays on the ground as he rushed for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Before Daniels became a superstar at LSU, he started in San Bernardino as the quarterback for the Cajon Cowboys. During his senior season as a Cowboy, Daniels threw for 4,515 yards, 60 touchdowns and four interceptions as he led Cajon to the state championship game where the Cowboys fell to Sierra Canyon.
Cajon celebrated Daniels’s career on Saturday as they welcomed Daniels back home for a ceremony where the Cowboys announced they were going to re-name their stadium “Jayden Daniels Stadium.”

Daniels’ high school has named its stadium after him.
