Who is Jarrett Stidham? Former Auburn to QB to replace Russell Wilson as Broncos starter | Reports

Former Auburn football quarterback Jarrett Stidham is getting another shot in the NFL.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday, Stidham will start the Denver Broncos' final two games of the season in relief of nine-time Pro Bowler Russell Wilson.

Stidham, who started for the Tigers from 2017-18 after transferring from Baylor, will be making his third career start on Saturday against the Los Angeles Chargers. In his first career start for the Las Vegas Raiders last season, Stidham completed 23 of 34 passes for 365 yards and three touchdowns in a 37-34 overtime loss to San Francisco. He then threw for 219 yards and a touchdown with an interception in his final start of the season in a loss to Kansas City.

The 27-year-old quarterback was selected in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by New England after leading Auburn to an SEC-West Division win in 2018.

According to NFL Network before the season, Stidham signed a two-year contract with the Broncos worth $10 million. The contract includes a $5 million signing bonus and $4 million in incentives.

Jarrett Stidham NFL draft

Stidham was selected with the 133rd overall pick in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He was the seventh quarterback selected in the draft.
