Jared Goff praises the energy and passion of the Lions home-field crowds
The first two Detroit Lions home games in 2022 have been exciting ones. The Lions lost a high-scoring thriller against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 and beat the Washington Commanders in Week 2, scoring at least 35 points in each game.
Both games were sellouts at Ford Field, with standing-room-only tickets nearly selling out for the Eagles game. The Ford Field crowds have been raucous.
Now the Lions return home, hosting the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4. Quarterback Jared Goff is hoping for more of the same from the fans. He talked abour his appreciation for the noise and the home-field advantage this week.
“Huge advantage, especially on defense, right? And even for us on offense, just when it’s quiet. It’s a little bit easier, but for us on defense, man, it’s a huge advantage,” Goff said Wednesday. “It allows the offense to – or allows the defense to be able to communicate and the offense not really be able to communicate quite as much. And it’s always – and it’s fun. It’s energy. It’s passion. Big plays happen, turnovers, and it’s all – feeds off the crowd, and it’s fun.”
“Hell yeah, we’ve noticed it. It’s been fun,” Goff added.
