James Harden all smiles when talking about his conditioning

James Harden addressed a lot in his first press conference as a member of the Nets. Suffice it to say, the tone was a little different than the final one he had as a member of the Houston Rockets — who he made sure to praise more than once on Friday.

Among the things to become a point of conversation surrounding Harden as the drama ensued in Houston this offseason heading into the few games he played for the Rockets was the shape the newest member of the Nets is in. On Friday’s introductory Zoom call with the media, Harden was asked to describe the condition he’s in right now on. He had a very simple answer — accompanied by a smile and a laugh:

Harden’s first chance to suit up for the Nets comes on Saturday against the Orlando Magic. The physicals for all players involved in the megadeal must be done before any can participate in basketball activities with their new team.
