Jaguars pass-game coordinator Nick Holz reportedly hired by Tennessee Titans as team's OC

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be looking for a new offensive pass-game coordinator for a second straight offseason.

According to a report from NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, pass-game coordinator Nick Holz will be hired by the Tennessee Titans to become the offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans.

Last year, the Jaguars lost pass-game coordinator Jim Bob Cooter to be the Indianapolis Colts' offensive coordinator.

Holz, 39, was hired by the Jaguars last offseason to replace Cooter. He was tied to the hip of offensive coordinator Press Taylor for much of the year with Holz having a close relationship with the OC. Holz had relationships with much of the team's staff before joining the franchise.

With Holz no longer with the team, Jacksonville must turn their attention to finding his replacement. One option could be former Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich, who was fired by the team in the middle of his first year with the club this year.

Reich has a strong relationship with Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson. The two worked together for two years (2016-17) in Philadelphia when Pederson was the team's head coach with Reich as the team's offensive coordinator.

In-house replacements for Holz could be quarterbacks coach Mike McCoy or assistant quarterbacks coach Andrew Breiner. Both coaches understand quarterback Trevor Lawrence and would give the team a seamless transition to a coach gaining great experience and another title added to their resume.

Jacksonville is currently hiring its defensive coaching staff after hiring Ryan Nielsen as the team's defensive coordinator. The Jaguars will also need to find a replacement for fired running backs coach Bernie Parmalee, who is already back in the league after being hired as the Carolina Panthers' running backs coach.

Jacksonville also has an opening at their assistant offensive line coach position after Todd Washington was allowed to leave after his contract expired.
