The Jacksonville Jaguars waived running back JaMycal Hasty on Saturday and activated cornerback Gregory Junior off the Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return List, leaving the team with two running backs on the active roster to back up Travis Etienne, rookie Tank Bigsby and veteran D'Ernest Johnson.

Hasty was Etienne's primary backup last season after the Jaguars traded James Robinson. Hasty finished the season with 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns along with 20 catches for 126 yards and one touchdown.

Hasty scored on a 61-yard run in a 34-27 loss at Indianapolis, on a 28-yard pass reception in the 28-27 victory over Baltimore and on a 5-yard run in a 31-3 victory at Houston.

He signed a contract extension on Feb. 26.

However, Hasty had been activated for only three games this season, with no stats other than two passing targets against Atlanta in London.

Hasty previously played two years with San Francisco. The Jaguars player host to the 49ers on Sunday at 1 p.m. (FOX-30).

Junior got on the injury list with a hamstring issue. He has played in only one game, the opener at Indianapolis.
