What Ja Morant said during the Memphis Grizzlies' game vs the Los Angeles Lakers

Ja Morant is letting the emojis do more talking for him than words.

The Memphis Grizzlies star is currently suspended and away from the action while he's unable to be in the arena when his team plays. A heated start to the Grizzlies' game against the Los Angeles Lakers led Morant to posting on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Lakers center Anthony Davis pushed Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama, which led to a total of five technical fouls being issued between the two foes. Shortly after, Morant simply posted a smiley face emoji and a bear in another post.

Morant is usually one of the first players to come in the defense of his teammates. After Aldama was pushed, Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane confronted Davis face to face.

The game got out of hand by the third quarter. Memphis trailed by 23 points at halftime, and injuries to Luke Kennard and Marcus Smart have hurt the team's backcourt depth.

With the Lakers pulling away with 20-plus point lead in the third quarter, Morant made another post of an hourglass.

The earliest Morant can return for the Grizzlies would be Dec. 19 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
