ISPW card a fundraiser for Mental Health Association of NJ Recovery Services

Sometimes you have to pile drive someone for a good cause.

On Friday night, Independent Stars of Pro Wrestling will do that at Sacred Heart Church in Bay Head.

ISPW will hold a night of professional wrestling to benefit the Mental Health Association of NJ Recovery Services.

The Jersey-based promotion often hooks up with groups looking to raise money and this was a perfect opportunity for them.

"The majority of our live events are held as fundraisers to raise money for various nonprofit organizations in New Jersey," said ISPW promoter and owner Tommy Fierro. "The Mental Health Association of NJ Recovery Services is a very important cause that we are honored to tag team with in hope of raising funds for them."

That's why Fierro is pulling out some great matches for the night.

The main event is ISPW heavyweight champion Rey Calitri defending his title against LSG.  Also on the card is a tag team championship match pitting Sent 2 Slaughter against The Now.

The rest of the card includes KC Navarro vs. Vargas for the ISPW Tri-state championship, Rick Recon vs. GKM, Joe Clean vs. Eric Corvis, the SHot Callers vs. Primal Fear and El Magnifico will be in action.

It's a great card on paper, and Fierro believes the fans will leave happy.

"This is set to be a really good card," Fierro said. "Rey Calitri is just beginning to hit his stride as the ISPW Heavyweight Champion and LSG is a fantastic opponent for him. I scratch my head wondering why LSG hasn't been signed yet. He's someone that every major organization should take a better look at in 2024. He is grossly underrated in my opinion.

"I'm excited for this title match. I'm also excited for GKM against Rick Recon. Two of the top ISPW Superstars finally going one on one again."
