Ida's Thomas, SMCC's Costlow voted Region's best of the week
Dean Thomas of Ida and St. Mary Catholic Central’s Jessica Costlow have been voted the best of Monroe County for Oct. 16-22.
Thomas came from behind in the final hours to take Football Player of the Week honors with 305 votes. That was just 8 votes better than New Boston Huron’s Austin O’Dell.

O’Dell led Thomas by 42 votes with 8 hours left before polls closed at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.
Costlow ran away from the competition. The SMCC volleyball player drew 726 votes. That easily outdistanced Erie Mason cross country runner Austin Sulier with 597.
