Here's a look at how teams in the Lubbock area stack up heading into Week 10 of high school football.

1. New Home (8-0, 3-0)

Last week: No. 1; W, 77-14 at Plains

This week: vs. Morton (5-3, 2-1)

The Leopards continue to take care of business.

2. Frenship (6-2, 1-2)

Last week: No. 3; W, 46-44 at Odessa Permian

This week: vs. Odessa High (5-3, 2-1)

The Tigers picked up a critical win in a crowded district race.

3. Lubbock-Cooper (5-3, 3-1)

Last week: No. 4; W, 48-27 vs. Monterey

This week: at Amarillo Tascosa (3-5, 2-2)

The Pirates offense is starting to match their defense.

4. Estacado (6-2, 1-1)

Last week: No. 2; L, 35-14 vs. Brownwood

This week: at Big Spring (2-6, 1-1)

The Matadors couldn't keep up with state-ranked Brownwood but look like the second-best team in district.

5. Seminole (7-1, 1-1)

Last week: No. 5; Open

This week: at Levelland (2-7, 0-3)

Seminole will be a heavy favorite in its return to action.

6. Muleshoe (7-1, 1-1)

Last week: No. 6; W, 48-6 at Amarillo River Road

This week: vs. Shallowater (3-5, 0-2)

The Mules head into the pivotal part of their schedule.

7. Farwell (6-2, 2-1)

Last week: No. 10; W, 56-32 vs. Amarillo Highland Park

This week: at Stinnett West Texas (4-4, 2-1)

A win would set up a showdown for second place.

8. Trinity Christian (6-1, 3-0)

Last week: No. 9; W, 13-12 at Arlington Grace Prep

This week: at Willow Park Trinity Christian (1-7, 0-2)

Tighter than expected, but the Lions moved their winning streak to six.

9. Idalou (4-4, 3-0)

The Wildcats have found something since the start of district.

The Lions are in line for a district title.
