Cepeda, a LaPorte High School graduate, resigned following the 2022-23 season. She was 62-98 in seven seasons at Concord. Cepeda, a former assistant coach at LaPorte, led Concord to a 15-8 mark in 2019-20 and a 14-9 record in 2018-19.

Abel has been the JV coach and varsity assistant at Edwardsburg High School since 2017. He is a graduate of Jimtown High School and Ferris State University. Abel, who is currently a curriculum research specialist and girls basketball coach at Five Star Life in Elkhart, will teach social studies at Concord.

We look forward to him getting things rolling with not only our high school athletes, but our feeder system kids as well.”

Concord finished 5-18 during the 2022-23 campaign.
