Holland basketball coach Mason Theile steps down to take job in East Grand Rapids
Holland High School is on the lookout for a new basketball coach.
Varsity coach Mason Theile has accepted the head coaching job at East Grand Rapids after two years with the Dutch.
"I am incredibly thankful for the time I spent at Holland. For the administration, players, and community to embrace and support me as a 24 year-old, first time head coach when I arrived in 2022 is something I will always be thankful for," Theile said. "I will forever cherish the relationships I built with players, families, and the Holland community and look forward to supporting the team and players going forward from afar."
Holland was 8-16 last season, more than doubling the win total from the previous year as Theile helped develop a young Holland team that is moving in the right direction.
Holland is currently searching for a replacement. Interested parties should contact Athletic Director Blake Muller at bmuller@hollandpublicschools.org.
