HLB's Coleman, EDW's Adams voted Houma-, Thibodaux-area basketball players of the year

The polls have closed, and according to the fans, the Houma- and Thibodaux-area postseason basketball players of the year are Chris Coleman of H.L. Bourgeois for the boys and Caroline Adams of E.D. White for the girls.

Coleman, a senior, finished the year averaging 18.8 points, five rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game while leading the Braves to the second round of the playoffs. He was also named first-team all-district for his efforts, the third time in his career he's been honored. He received 57.6% of the vote.

Adams, also a senior, averaged 19.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 6.5 steals per game while also leading EDW to the quarterfinals. She was named first-team all-district and won District MVP, as well as signing to play collegiately at Nicholls. She received 50.8% of the vote.
