Online voting for the Varsity 845 softball player of the week for April 29-May 5 is now open. Go to RecordOnline.com/sports and vote as often as you like until 11 p.m. on Sunday (no computer bot voting, please).
Nominations are pulled from reports to Varsity 845 and other sources. Players from Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties, plus Delaware Valley (Pa.) are eligible. Only one nomination per school is permitted each week. This week the poll is split into large- and small schools.

She had a double and five RBI as the Sawyers beat Rondout Valley 11-6 on Friday.
Madison Dobbs, Port Jervis
She had a double, two singles and six RBI as the Raiders beat Delaware Academy 22-3 on Friday.
Addison Freiberger, Goshen
She allowed four hits, struck out seven and added a single, home run and two RBI as the Gladiators topped Cornwall 4-0 on Tuesday. She had two hits and an RBI in a 10-2 win over Wallkill on Wednesday.
Madison Gibney, Marlboro
She had three hits and three RBI as the Dukes beat Rondout Valley 13-2 on Tuesday.
Madison Gravel, Newburgh
He had three singles and a home run in the Goldbacks’ 7-6 setback to Monroe-Woodbury on Monday. She added a triple and two RBI in a 6-2 win over Pine Bush on Friday. She had two hits and an RBI in a 10-4 win over Middletown on Saturday.
Emma Hunt, Wallkill
She struck out eight in a five-hit win, an 8-2 decision over Lourdes on Thursday.
Amanda Larsen, Warwick
She had a two-run single and notched the win as the Wildcats nipped Minisink Valley 3-2 on Wednesday.
Bella Mayo, Valley Central
She tossed a four-hitter, striking out eight, and added two hits and two RBI as the Vikings beat Monticello 14-1 on Monday. She got the win in a 7-1 decision over Goshen on Friday.

She had a double, homer and four RBI as the Crusaders beat Minisink Valley 9-4 on Friday.
Ayla Terpening, Kingston
She had a single, homer, RBI and struck out eight in a two-hit victory as the Tigers nipped Middletown 2-1 on Thursday.

She had a single, double, three RBI, winning a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts as the Blue Devils topped Poughkeepsie 16-0 on Monday. She had a one-hit win, fanning seven and added two singles and two RBI in a 12-0 win over Dover on Wednesday. She had four hits and struck out six in a 14-0 win over Fallsburg on Friday.
Aubrey Botsford, Liberty
She drove in six runs on two hits as Liberty downed Fallsburg 22-4 on Thursday.
Jenna Carmody, Tri-Valley
She had three singles, a triple, three RBI and got the win, fanning 11, as the Bears beat Chapel Field 9-2 on Monday. She got a win, fanned seven and added two hits in a 4-2 win over Eldred on Wednesday.
Molly Farley, Chester
She struck out 12 as Chester knocked off Port Jervis 4-0 on Thursday.
Mary Grasso, Burke Catholic
She had three hits, an RBI, struck out seven and got the win as the Eagles beat Livingston Manor 14-11 on Wednesday.
Alexa Pavese, Highland
She got the win, allowed no earned runs, struck out seven and added a double, two singles and two RBI as the Huskies beat Liberty 10-2 on Tuesday. She tossed a two-hitter and fanned 10 in a 16-0 win over Webutuck on Wednesday.
Riley Van Pelt, James I. O’Neill
She had two singles, a double and three RBI as the Raiders beat Beacon 11-9 on Monday.
