Here's who finished No. 1 in the Nashville area small, large class softball rankings
With the TSSAA state softball championships completed last week, Green Hill finished the season as the No. 1 large class team in the Nashville area rankings, a position the Hawks held all season.
Gordonsville, fresh off a Class 1A state title, jumped into the No. 1 spot in the small class rankings.
Below are the final rankings in the large (Class 4A, Class 3A, DII-AA) and small (Class 2A, Class 1A, DII-A) classes:
Large class
1. Green Hill (44-2) − The third-year Hawks finished the season on a 40-game winning streak, capping it with the Class 4A state title. They were wire-to-wire No. 1 in the large class rankings. Previous week: No. 1.
2. Nolensville (41-16) − The Knights and senior pitcher Rylan Smith reached the 4A winners bracket finals before falling in back-to-back games to champ Green Hill and runner-up Daniel Boone. Previous week: No. 3.
3. Henry County (29-7) − The Patriots went 2-2 in Class 4A state tournament play, including wins over Daniel Boone and Farragut before being eliminated by Daniel Boone in the losers bracket. Previous week: No. 4.
4. Coffee County (27-9) − The Raiders and senior pitcher Caitlyn Davis dropped decisions to Nolensville (3-1) and Farragut (4-3) in the Class 4A state tournament. Previous week: No. 2.
5. Rossview (21-4) − The Hawks lost in both the region championship game and sectional (3-2 to Arlington) to end their season. Previous week: No. 5.
6. Centennial (23-10) − The Cougars fell 12-0 to Nolensville in the region finals and 7-2 to Green Hill in the 4A sectional to end their season. Previous week No. 6.
7. Siegel (18-7) − The Stars ended their season after losing twice during the District 7-4A tournament. Previous week: No. 7.
8. Greenbrier (29-7-1) − The Bobcats ended their season with losses in the region finals and 3A sectional (6-0 to Lexington). Previous week: 8.
9. Lipscomb Academy (22-9) − The Mustangs ended their season by falling 2-1 in a best-of-three series with GPS in the state quarterfinals. Previous week: No. 9.
10. Lincoln County (30-9) − The Falcons ended their season with a region quarterfinal loss to Macon County. Previous week: 10.

Small class
1. Gordonsville (37-5) − Senior pitcher Kailey Plumlee and the Tigers finished off a perfect Class 1A state tournament run by defeating Eagleville 5-2 in the title game, their second win over the Eagles in the tourney. Previous week: No. 4.
2. Forrest (30-14) − The Rockets reached the Class 2A state championship game before falling to Westview 13-5 to settle for runner-up. They went 4-2 in the tourney. Previous week: No. 3.
3. Columbia Academy (31-9) − The Bulldogs reached the DII-A state championship game before falling to Silverdale 2-1, going 2-2 in tourney play. Previous week: No. 1.
4. Eagleville (25-8) − The Eagles finished runner-up in Class 1A, going 4-2 in the tournament, with the only two losses being to champion Gordonsville. Sophomores Addisyn Linton and Brinli Bain both had big tourneys. Previous week: No. 5.

5. Waverly Central (25-11) − Waverly won its first two games in the Class 2A state tourney before falling to eventual champ Westview (4-3) and eventual runner-up Forrest (9-4). Previous week: 6.
6. Jo Byrns (29-18) − The Devils won their first two Class 1A state tournament games before falling to eventual champ Gordonsville (5-3) and eventual runner-up Eagleville (6-4). Previous week: 7.
7. Community (20-13-1) − The Viqueens had a Class 2A state tourney win (1-0) over Kingston, wedged between losses to Westview and Forrest. Previous week: 9.
8. Summertown (35-10) − The Eagles were shut out 3-0 in the 2A sectional by Westview after having scored a combined 22 runs in region play. Previous week: No. 2.
9. Goodpasture (21-10-1) − The Cougars ended their season with a 2-0 loss to Silverdale in the DII-A state quarterfinals. Previous week: No. 8.
10. Zion Christian (24-10) − The Eagles completed their season on May 13 with a 15-0 win over Christian Community in the Tennessee State Independent Athletic Association championship game. Previous week: 10.
