Hawks F Prince named to Rising Stars game

Atlanta Hawks second-year forward Taurean Prince has been named to the Rising Stars game roster as an injury replacement for Milwaukee Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon.

The Bucks announced Friday that Brogdon will miss six to eight weeks with a partially torn left quadriceps tendon.

Prince will join teammate John Collins on the U.S. roster. The 23-year-old Prince is averaging 12.0 points, 2.3 assists and 5.0 rebounds in starting all 51 of the Hawks' games this season.

Prince, the No. 12 pick in the 2016 draft, is set to play alongside the Lakers' Lonzo Ball, Celtics' Jayson Tatum and other first- and second-year players as the U.S. squad faces a World team led by the 76ers' Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons in the Feb. 16 event.
