H.S. ROUNDUP: Julia Kipperman records her 100th career goal for Nauset girls lacrosse

Julia Kipperman scored four goals, which included her 100th career goal, and dished out seven assists for the Nauset (8-6) girls lacrosse team in a 20-1 win over Mashpee (4-8) on Saturday.

Sienna Reeves (five goals), Allie Higgins (four goals), Coral Punch (three goals), Zoe Labdon (two goals), contributed on offense, while Cleo Donovan and Loghan Clifford each scored their first varsity goals for Nauset. Sophia Boucher and Norah Swanson split time in goal. Ciara Hendricks scored the lone goal for Mashpee.

Girls Lacrosse

Nantucket 17, North Reading 4: The Whalers (14-0) remain unbeaten with their 14th straight win. Bailey Lower (eight goals), Emerson Pekarcik (three goals, four assists), Mayson Lower three goals), Cydney Mosscrop (two goals, three assists), Dylan Damian (one goal), Evy Stahl (one assist) led the offense, while Claire Misurelli had six saves in goal for Nantucket.

Barnstable 20, Dennis-Yarmouth 3: The Red Hawks (6-5) snapped a two game slide as they beat the Dolphins (4-7). Chloe Egan (four goals, four assists), Alyssa McEneaney (three goals, one assist), Giovanna Detoledo (three goals), Emelie Jonsson (two goals, seven draw controls), and Shelby Locascio (two goals, six assists) led the offense for Barnstable.

Kayla Grady (one goal, seven ground balls), Claire Kayajan (one goal), Caroline Meins (one goal), Avery Croteau (one goal, one assist), Kera Clifford (one goal, one assist), and Callie DeDecko (one goal) also chipped in for Barnstable, while Morgan Mueller finished with five saves in goal for the Red Hawks.

Boys Lacrosse

Nauset 21, Hanover 11: The Warriors (7-7) won their first road game since April 13. Riley Meehan (six goals), Logan Poulin (four goals), Joey Berardi (two goals), Ryder Holm (two goals), Sam Mayhew (two goals) led the Warriors offense, while Brendan Peno, Michael Flynn, Andrew Reeves and Sawyer McCutchen each added a goal. Chris Burge and Aaron Rogers played well in goal.

Nantucket 16, Archbishop Williams 2: The Whalers (10-1) have won nine in a row.

Falmouth 14, Whitman-Hanson 2: The Clippers (14-3) have won three of the their last four and remain unbeaten (6-0) at home.

Weston 18, Martha’s Vineyard 11: The Vineyarders (3-9) have dropped four of their last five games.

Girls Tennis

Nantucket 3, Martha’s Vineyard 2: The Whalers (7-3) have won four of their last five matches as they beat the Vineyarders (6-4). Jenn Harris defeated Laina Dubin in first singles (6-3, 6-1), Lily Chibnik beat Leah Thomson in second singles, and Hannah Gerardi and Chloe Marrero won first doubles (6-3, 6-2) over Sophia Balsas and Ella Moran for Nantucket.

Zoe Treitman defeated Lauren in third singles (4-6, 6-0, 6-3), while Tessa Schulz and Clementine Zeender beat Vicie Todorava and Yikburia Bozhleon in second doubles (6-3, 6-4) for Martha's Vineyard.

Softball

Atlantis Charter 16, Cape Tech 4; Cape Tech 6, Atlantis Charter 5: The Crusaders (3-10) split a doubleheader against Atlantis Charter. They fell in the first game, but scored three runs in the last inning for the win in the second game.

Victoria Rodrigues and Amberlis Hildago had two hits each in the first game. Hildago walked, Laura Feliz doubled and scored on Micaela Plantes' double, while Rodrigues had four hits for the day and singled in the winning run in the second game.

New Bedford 8, Falmouth 0: Rylin Briggs-pitched a complete game and struck out 12 for the Clippers (9-5). Christina Femino, Briggs and Katie Medeiros each had a hit for Falmouth.

Baseball

Cape Tech 11, Atlantis Charter 1: Trevor Ryone pitched 42 pitches over four innings and gave up two hits, no runs, and struck out three for the Crusaders (8-7) and remains unbeaten on the mound at 6-0. The Crusaders stole 14 bases, while Mike Riker went 1-for-2 (two runs scored, four stolen bases), Jake Ambrosini was 1-for-2 (double, two RBIs, two runs), Mason Tomlinson finished 1-for-3 (one RBI) Aidan Choukri went 2-for-3 (two runs, three RBIs), and Nolan Baker ended 1-for-2 (two RBIs) for Cape Tech.

Nantucket 1, O’Bryant 0: The Whalers (2-10) have won two of their last three after an 0-9 start.

Barnstable

The distance medley relay team of Lilly DeDecko, Makenna Dennis, Sophia Murphy and Chloe Dibb placed first with a time of 13:35.76.

Laik O'Reilly had a season best (15-07.75) in the long jump (17th).

Monomoy

The 4x800 relay team of Laura Stone, Erin Guerard, Autumn Escher, and Remi Schreiner had a season best time of 10:56.91 (ninth).

Nauset

Madeline Mahoney had a personal record time of 5:12.04 in the mile (fourth), and finished with a season best time of 2:23.02 in the 800m (sixth).

Violet Roche had a season best time of 1:00.76 in the 400m (fourth place), while Rihanna Sutherland had a season best (16-04.25) in the long jump (seventh place).

Sandwich

Grace Chayna had a personal record time of 5:47.96 in the freshman mile (third).

Sturgis West

Claire Heller had personal record time of 6:02.21 in the freshman mile (fourth).

The 4x100m relay team of Sally Penswick, Auguste Dimsa, Kaitlyn Markowski, and Amelia Stoots had a season best time of 57.53 (15th).

The 4x400m relay team of Sophia Lasnicki, Hailey Patrish Valencia, Tallulah Clifford and Audrey Mackenzie finished with a season best time of 4:35.60 (12th).

Boys Track and Field

Barnstable

William Fajardo-Doss had a personal record time of 22.91 in the 200m (14th),while Kevin DeFeudis had a personal record time of 10:31.44 in the two-mile (11th).

Cheavaunie Shakespeare had a personal record (20-00.50), while Jahi Kilburn had a personal record (19-09.25) in the long jump.

Falmouth

Silas Gartner won the two-mile with a personal record time of 9:29.28.

Nauset

Adian Brown had a season best time of 15.22 (second place).

Isaiah Robinson had a personal record of 15.41 (third) in the 100m hurdles, and had a season best (40-10.50) in the triple jump (10th).

Damian Bebber had a season best time of 51.34 (fifth) in the 400m, and a personal record time of 22.67 in the 200m (sixth).

Reed Dill had a personal record time of 1:01.82 in the 400m hurdles.

Peter Silvernail had a personal record in the shot put (44-11.25) for sixth place, while Paytah Dill had a personal record in the long jump (21-02.75) in the sixth place.

The 4x800 relay team of Tim Sanders, Bradford Hagopian, Gabriel Walsh, and Will Crowell had a season best time of 8:54.56 (10th).

Sandwich

Adam Ferreira had a personal record (163-04) in the javelin throw.

Sturgis West

Shane Stanghellini was runner-up in the two-mile with a personal record time of 9:44.69.

Michael Nossek had a personal record time of 22.31 in the 200m (third).

Dylan Moreno had a personal record time of 59.68, while Noah Wilcox finished with a personal record time of 1:02.82 in the 400m hurdles.
