Ponce De Leon 62, Jay 48: The Royals couldn't muster a comeback in the final frame, falling in the Region 1-1A final at the Pirates on Monday.

Ponce De Leon held an early 17-10 lead after the first quarter, and then limited Jay's offense in the second frame. The Royals were held to just seven points in the second quarter, trailing 35-17 at halftime. While both teams scored 17 points apiece in the third stanza, Jay outscored Ponce De Leon in the final frame – but didn't have enough to catch up.

The Royals fouled the Pirates in the last few minutes to get the ball back sooner, but fell just short.
