Before the Washington Capitals close out their 2022-23 season, they’ll pay homage to some of the most important members of their organization: the fans.

The Caps will host ‘Fan Appreciation Week,’ an annual custom for the Washington faithful, from this coming Saturday, April 8 until the following Thursday the 13th. Fan Appreciation Week will be highlighted by several initiatives, giveaways, discounts and more, all geared toward expressing gratitude to Capitals fans across the DMV.

Here are some of the highlights of Fan Appreciation Week (for the full list and more details, click here):

• Prize Giveaways: from April 10-13, the Capitals will be giving away prizes to fans ranging from tickets to next season’s games to autographed memorabilia and experiences. Visit washcaps.com/fanappreciation to and follow the team’s social media accounts for more info (winners to be selected April 13).

• Team Store Discounts: throughout the duration of Fan Appreciation Week, the Capitals’ team stores at Capital One Arena and MedStar Capitals Iceplex will be offering discounts on several brands and items on different days. For example, all Reverse Retro and Stadium Series jerseys will be 40% off at Capital One Arena throughout the week.

• Fan Appreciation Night: Washington’s game against New Jersey on Thursday, April 13 will be Fan Appreciation Night at Capital One Arena. Drink specials, prizes, alumni appearances and a nifty poster giveaway will all be part of the festivities at District E (the live event theater and E-sports hub at the arena) from 5-7 p.m.

• Jerseys Off Our Backs: At the conclusion of the game against New Jersey on April 13, each Capitals player will autograph his own game-worn jersey and present it to pre-selected fans on the ice. NBC Sports Washington will air the ceremony.
