Moldovan will play in the U.S. Open for the third straight year. He made the cut after being added as an alternate last year and finished 65th. He missed the cut in 2022.
Moldovan turned pro after completing his Ohio State career two weeks ago. He played the first two rounds of The Memorial Tournament last week as a player marker to even the field. His scores did not count and he did not receive any prize money.
For the 3rd consecutive year, Maxwell Moldovan is a @usopengolf Qualifier. And this time, it will be his first tournament as a professional!! Congrats Max! #GoBucks pic.twitter.com/MqUCslVQ5w
