Grading the Jacksonville Jaguars' 2020 draft after four years. How did they do?
With the 2024 NFL Draft officially in the books, it's time to look back at what the Jacksonville Jaguars did in past drafts and how they'd score years later.
It's been four years since the Jaguars took to the stage to select 12 players, including cornerback C.J. Henderson and outside linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Let's stroll down memory lane and see what went right or wrong.

Jaguars 2020 NFL draft grades
The Jaguars were headed into a complete rebuilding year after the 2019 Jaguars team was deconstructed, set up for future success after weeding out veterans, ushering in a wave of new players as the team looked at its leadership.
Jacksonville dealt All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey during the 2019 season and dealt defensive end Yannick Ngakoue shortly following the season. Two cornerstone players forced their way out of Jacksonville and a new regime, led in part by re-appointed lead-man and general manager Dave Caldwell and head coach Doug Marrone.
It didn't last very long as both were out shortly following a disastrous one-win season. Just defensive lineman DaVon Hamilton and safety/special teams ace Daniel Thomas remain on the roster today.
C.J. Henderson, cornerback, Round 1, Pick No. 9
Grade: F
The Jaguars picked Henderson in part to replace Ramsey and rebuild the team's secondary. Henderson played just 10 games for Jacksonville, traded to the Carolina Panthers after Week 3 of the 2021 season. Henderson had 36 tackles, one tackle for loss and one interception with the team.
K'Lavon Chaisson, outside linebacker, Round 1, Pick No. 20
Grade: F
Chaisson played out his four-year deal with the Jaguars before leaving this offseason via free agency, ultimately joining the Carolina Panthers on a one-year deal. Though Chaission provided help on special teams for Jacksonville, he posted just five total sacks in four seasons and was largely a disappointment on defense.
Laviska Shenault, wide receiver, Round 2, Pick No. 42
Grade: D
Shenault, when healthy, looked like one of the most electric players on the team. He seldom was healthy, though, missing multiple games through two years with the team before being traded to the Panthers. He caught 121 passes for 1,219 yards and five touchdowns with the Jaguars.
Davon Hamilton, defensive tackle, Round 3, Pick No. 73
Grade: A
Hamilton is one of two players set to remain on the roster in 2024 from the 2020 draft class. He's started 30 games, playing in 52. Hamilton has accounted for 144 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and 13 quarterback hits. He signed a three-year contract extension last offseason and is set to start this year.
Ben Bartch, guard, Round 4, Pick No. 116
Grade: C
Once you get later in the draft, it's difficult to grade as harshly. Bartch started 20 games for Jacksonville, playing in 46. Though he struggled at times in his starts, he became a reliable depth piece for the team until his injury in 2022 derailed his career in Jacksonville. Bartch is with the San Francisco 49ers.
Josiah Scott, cornerback, Round 4, Pick No. 137
Grade: D
Scott was another player the Jaguars traded from this class. He played just one season in Jacksonville, seeing action in just six games. He posted 11 tackles before being dealt to the Eagles during the 2021 draft.
Shaquille Quarterman, Round 4, Pick No. 140
Grade: B
Quarterman played four years in Jacksonville as a reserve linebacker. In Round 4, the team got solid value out of Quarterman thanks in large part to his abilities on special teams. Thus far, Quarterman has not been re-signed by the Jaguars and is currently a free agent.
Daniel Thomas, safety, Round 5, Pick No. 157
Grade: B
Thomas has been one of the best special teams players in the league since being drafted by Jacksonville. He recently re-signed with the team on a two-year deal. He's started four games at safety, playing in 56 games total. He's accounted for 61 tackles.
Collin Johnson, wide receiver, Round 5, Pick No. 165
Grade: D
Johnson entered the 2020 season with a lot of promise as a big-time player for a big-time program in Texas. Still, he largely disappointed, catching just 18 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns before being released the next year.
Jake Luton, quarterback, Round 6, Pick No. 189
Grade: F
Luton started three games for the Jaguars to give them a chance at taking Trevor Lawrence in the 2021 NFL Draft. He succeeded, going 0-3 in his starts, passing for 624 yards on a 54.5% completion percentage, two touchdowns and six interceptions. Luton last made an appearance on the Carolina Panthers' practice squad last year.
Tyler Davis, tight end, Round 6, Pick No. 206
Grade: F
Davis never looked like a capable tight end while he was with the Jaguars. He recorded just two targets in eight games before being released. He is currently with the Green Bay Packers.
Chris Claybrooks, cornerback, Round 7, Pick No. 223
Grade: D
Claybrooks is no longer with the team, a free agent on the open market today. Still, during his time with Jacksonville, he posted solid numbers on special teams after being taken near the bottom of the draft. His grade is low, however, after he spent the entire 2023 season on the commissioner's exempt list after being arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and false imprisonment, a third-degree felony.
