Girl Scouts are ready to tempt you with Thin Mints, Adventurefuls, Caramel deLites & more

Just in time for you to break your New Year’s resolution, the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey have kicked off their cookie sale, which continues through March 27.

The Girl Scouts will offer their wares at a variety of locations during the sale.

But they have also crafted a plan to tempt you to buy their Thin Mints and other varieties of cookies without even leaving your house!

During National Cookie Weekend, Feb. 18 to 20, customers in select areas will be able to order cookies from the Girl Scouts of Central & Southern New Jersey through the DoorDash app. Customers will just have to log onto the app and place their order. Then wait by their door for their favorite cookies to be delivered.

To help you decide which cookies to order, here's a brief description of your choices:

  • Adventurefuls: Indulgent brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel flavored crème with a hint of sea salt.

  • Toast-Yay!: Delightful toast-shaped cookies full of French toast flavor with the signature trefoil on top.

  • Thin Mints: Crispy chocolate wafers dipped in a mint chocolate coating.

  • Caramel deLites: Crispy cookies topped with caramel, toasted coconut, and fudge stripes.

  • Peanut Butter Patties: Crispy cookies layered with peanut butter and covered with a fudge coating.

  • Peanut Butter Sandwich: Crisp and crunchy oatmeal cookies with creamy peanut butter filling.

  • Shortbread: Traditional shortbread cookies.

  • Caramel Chocolate Chip (gluten free): Rich caramel, semisweet chocolate chips, and a hint of sea salt in a chewy cookie.

The cookies are $5 per box, except $6 for the gluten free cookies.

While you may want to buy the cookies because they are a tasty treat, you may also want to buy them to support the Girl Scouts.

The cookie sale is meant to help teach the Girl Scouts a variety of skills including: Goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.

So, while you are enjoying a Thin Mint or two or 10, you can feel great that you supported the entrepreneurial spirit in a local girl!
