Giannis Antetokounmpo sprains ankle, doesn't return to Bucks-Clippers game

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a sprained ankle in the second quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

He rolled his ankle when he stepped on Austin Rivers’ foot while trailing a layup before limping off the court on his own.

The Bucks later announced the nature of his injury and that he wouldn’t return to the game.

The Bucks are currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings, but hold a comfortable lead over the ninth-place Detroit Pistons for the final playoff spot. Any extended absence from Antetokounmpo would be obvious reason for concern, though.
