Georgia vs. TCU: UGA injury report ahead of national championship

Georgia secured a 42-41 win in the playoff semifinal last Saturday, but the Bulldogs didn’t leave Atlanta without injuries.

Starting tight end Darnell Washington missed the second half versus the Buckeyes due to an ankle injury, and outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss went down with a knee injury.

Right tackle Warren McClendon was questionable for the game due to an MCL strain and played one snap.

Here’s an updated Georgia injury report ahead of the national title game versus TCU:

Kirby Smart: “We’re hoping to get Darnell ready. He’s continued to work really hard, done a lot of rehab. I know he wants to, his first chance to play on the West Coast. He’s from Vegas, and this game means a lot to him. And I know it’s an important one to him.”

OLB Chaz Chambliss

Status: Probable

Chambliss gave the media an update this week, noting that he feels good in preparation for Monday night.

McConkey, Georgia’s leading receiver, has been battling knee tendinitis for the majority of the season and reaggravated the injury in the SEC Championship game. The redshirt sophomore played a limited role in the Peach Bowl and caught two passes.
