Here are Gastonia, Shelby area spring sports top performers for Week 7 of the 2024 season

Here is a daily list of the top performers from Cleveland, Gaston and Lincoln counties during the seventh week of spring sports action.

Our weekly top performers list and athlete of the week nominees are compiled courtesy of information provided to The Gaston Gazette and Shelby Star by coaches, athletic directors or team statisticians through emails, MaxPreps or mentioning @JoeLHughesII in game results and highlights posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.

Jackson Toney, Burns: Pitched five innings, allowing a run on four hits with seven strikeouts.

Brody Hager, East Lincoln: Was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 16-0 win over Statesville.

Evan Matile, East Lincoln: Was 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored.

Matthew Phuntek, East Lincoln: Was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

J.T. Roche, East Lincoln: Was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored.

James Bolinsky, Forestview: Was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in a 10-1 win over Ashbrook.

Tripp Dow, Forestview: Allowed no runs or hits with 13 strikeouts in five innings on the mound. He was also 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored.

Carter Robinson, Forestview: Was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Camden Tarbush, Forestview: Was 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and tw runs scored.

Carsten Green, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in a 12-0 win over Spartanburg Day.

Meridian Leffew, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and four runs scored.

Aaron Main, Gaston Christian: Pitched four innings without allowing a hit with six strikeouts in a combined no-hitter.

David Nicks, Gaston Christian: Was 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs. He also had two strikeouts pitching an inning as part of a combined no-hitter with teammate Aaron Main.

Nathan Hovis, Lincolnton: Was 2-for-3 with a double in a 16-4 loss to Bandys.

Justin Horne, Lincoln Charter: Hit a two-run homer in a 3-0 win over Langtree Charter..

Evan Myers, Lincoln Charter: Was 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, two RBIs and two total runs scored.

Jacob Smith, Lincoln Charter: Was 5-for-5 with two home runs, three RBIs and four total runs scored.

Brody Thompson, Lincoln Charter: Was 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs and a run scored.

Kellen Karr, North Lincoln: Pitched five innings, allowing a run on a hit with seven strikeouts in five innings on the mound as part of a 4-1 win over St. Stephens.

Chad Matthews, North Lincoln: Was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

Tucker Sigmon, North Lincoln: Was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored.

Patrick Blee, South Point: Had a hit, RBI and two runs scored in an 8-0 win over Hunter Huss.

Dalton Skipper, South Point: Allowed no runs on three hits with 15 strikeouts in throwing a complete game.

Mason Price, Stuart Cramer: Allowed a run on four hits with seven strikeouts in pitching a complete game.

Nic Stutzman, Stuart Cramer: Was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run scored.

Twig Carpenter, West Lincoln: Was 2-for-3 in a 1-0 win over Bunker Hill in eight innings.

Braden Helms, West Lincoln: Allowed no runs on two hits in eight innings on the mound with seven strikeouts.

Levi Jenkins, West Lincoln: Was 2-for-3.

Caden Smith, West Lincoln: Had a hit and an RBI.

Softball

Maggie Earl, Burns: Was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 16-0 win over Highland Tech.

Laylah Haynes, Burns: Was 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored.

Meah Ivie, Burns: Was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Kadence Parker, Burns: Was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Olivia Waters, Burns: Allowed no runs on one hit with two strikeouts in three innings inside the circle. She was also 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Aidan Ledbetter, Crest: Pitched a five-inning perfect game, striking out eight in a 14-0 win over Stuart Cramer. She also had a hit and two RBIs.

Ella Shope, Crest: Finished 2-for-4.

Sara Rose Warlick, Crest: Was 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.

Jordyn Aungst, East Lincoln: Was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored in an 18-0 win over Statesville.

Lauren Borchardt, East Lincoln: Was 2-for-2 with a run scored.

Caitie Houser, Lincoln Charter: Was 2-for-3 with three run scored in a 16-2 win over Langtree Charter.

Ava Patterson, Lincoln Charter: Was 2-for-3 with three RBIs in a 16-2 win over Langtree Charter.

Bailey Polaski, Lincoln Charter: Was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 16-0 win over Langtree Charter.

Camdyn Arrington, Mountain Island Charter: Had a hit, RBI and a run scored in a 6-4 win over Pine Lake Prep.

Riley Fleming, Mountain Island Charter: Had a hit, RBI and a run scored.

Elijah Cunningham, North Gaston: Hit a two-run homer in a 4-2 loss to Kings Mountain.

Brayden Patrick, KIngs Mountain: Pitched six innings, allowing two runs on three hits with 14 strikeouts in a 4-2 win over North Gaston.

Aidan Taylor, Kings Mountain: Was 2-for-3 with a run scored. He also had two strikeouts in an inning of work, earning the save.

Kandan Zollo, Kings Mountain: Hit a solo home run.

Camden Ashe, South Point: Had two hits in a 23-0 win over Hunter Huss..

Patrick Blee, South Point: Was 2-for-6 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Talan McConnell, South Point: Pitched four innings, allowing no runs or hits with nine strikeouts. He and Reid Wilson combined for a five-inning no-hitter, Wilson striking out the side on his lone inning of work.

Zeke Pruitt, South Point: Was 2-for-3 with a triple, four RBIs and two runs scored.

Aydan Bradley, Stuart Cramer: Had a hit and an RBI in a 7-1 win over Crest.

Cooper Collier, Stuart Cramer: Had a hit and two runs scored.
