That's not much of a gap with plenty of football still to be played, but they're in a much healthier position than Sheffield United, who remain rooted to the bottom of the pile with a solitary point. The Blades fought hard amidst difficult circumstances in the capital, but the task of staying up this season is looking all the more difficult with every passing game.

A game that totalled 160 minutes finally comes to a close, with Fulham recovering from an unfortunate equaliser to see out a comfortable 3-1 victory. The uneventful - Basham's injury aside - first half gave way to a pulsating second, with the hosts opening the scoring just eight minutes after the restart. De Cordova-Reid's opener was cancelled out by Antonee Robinson's own-goal 15 minutes later, as Sheffield United got themselves back on level terms in an extreme stroke of fortune. However, that fortune would soon turn against them, as Tom Cairney's long-range effort ricocheted in off Foderingham, and Willian popped up in stoppage time to seal a victory that Fulham very much deserved.
